About me

I am a committed and motivated support worker with proven experience in Aged Care and supporting people with complex needs. I have a particular interest in Leisure and Health, and Mental Health. I bring a lot of experience and highly developed skills from my previous and current roles. I pride myself on my strong work ethic, interpersonal communication skills and my 'can do' attitude. My strengths include being empathic but realistic, sensitive to people’s needs and goals. What they want out of life by going on a journey with the person, walking beside them with gentle encouragement. I am genuine, caring and with a calm and positive personality. I am non-judgemental and aware that people are doing the best they can. I show respect for the person’s competence by helping clients to discover their own strengths and by encouraging self-reliance.

Experience

I have gained qualifications through TAFE NSW in Leisure and Health, Community Service and Individual Support. I have also completed online courses in Understanding Dementia through the University of Tasmania, Palliative Care and DV Alert through Life Line. I have completed Life Line Practical Training at Parramatta.

As well as lived experience, I have previously worked for Anglicare in a variety of roles such as transport, day centres and community work.

I have a genuine passion for my work and supporting people from all walks of life.

Now offering video calls through Zoom and Skype.

If you feel that I would be the right support person for you, please send me a message.
